How to share and access a folder or drive in xp

You must be a member of the Administrators or Power Users group to Share Folders.

Share drive or folder:

1. Right-click the folder or drive, and then click Sharing and Security.
2. Click Share this folder.
3. Set any other options that you want, and then click OK.

Access shared drive or folder at another computer:

1. Go to Start --> Run and type Computer IP Address with double backslash (e.g. \\127.0.0.1) on which folder or drive shared.
2. Press OK.
3. All shared data and device at the system will appear in opened window.
